Sterilox Endoscopy is a safe alternative to traditional toxic disinfectant, such as glutaraldehyde, for reprocessing endoscopes. The Sterilox system uses a liquid biocide that is suitable for room-temperature high-level disinfection. The oxidative biocide is hypochlorous acid, at an effective pH which is produced from salt and water.
