TECHNICAL SERVICES SPECIALIST - STERILOX FOOD SAFETY
We have an opening for a Technical Services Specialist (TSS) in the Southern California (Orange County) region to join the Food Safety team. Although based in a specific city, the person in this role will travel extensively, including multiple overnight trips to customer sites throughout the country. As part of the national field service team, the person in this role will be responsible for the initial installation and set-up of Sterilox systems, preventative maintenance and trouble-shooting system issues. The TSS will train users in the system value proposition and operation. The TSS will also be involved in training third party service partners and monitoring their efficient delivery of services to customers.

In this position, you have the ability to work independently and self-manage to an extent, to achieve a set of goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform site surveys.
- Install systems at the customer sites, ensuring proper calibration and function.
- Provide feedback to quality and engineering organizations on equipment performance and issues identified in the field and assist in identifying design improvements or fixes.
- Communicate function and value of Sterilox systems to customers and train users in the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Train third party service partner technicians and management in equipment installation and repair.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Prepare reports of system data and customer feedback.
Key Qualifications:
- Associates degree or technical school training preferred. Comparable technical experience will be considered.
- 4+ years experience in field service. Ideal candidate will have experience repairing and/or installing equipment such as commercial food/kitchen equipment, cleaning systems, HVAC, or other water/fluid based systems.
- Understanding of fundamental plumbing, electrical, and mechanical concepts and a sound troubleshooting thought process.
- Strong communications skills, including the ability to explain how equipment operates and answer users’ questions.
- Demonstrated strong customer service mentality and responsiveness and ability to resolve issues.
- Strong organization skills including attention to detail and accuracy and timely reporting of information and ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office software and Blackberry.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including multiple overnights to customer sites.
