RETAIL ACCOUNT SPECIALIST - STERILOX FOOD SAFETY
We have an opening for a Retail Account Specialist position in the Northern California region to join the Food Safety team. Although based in a specific city, the person in this role will involve significant travel, including overnight trips to customer sites throughout the country. As part of the account management team, the Retail Account Specialist will develop customer relationships, train customers, ensure that customers are maximizing capabilities of the system, address service and other issue to ensure high customer satisfaction, manage customer trials and collect market data through feedback from customers.

Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the customer relationship at the retail grocery store level.
- Serve as primary store contact regarding Sterilox equipment installations and satisfaction and pro-actively avoid and resolve customer service issues with timely communication to customers and management.
- Perform site surveys and coordinate installation requirements and perform installations.
- Provide technical training to users on the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Communicate Sterilox system value proposition and function with store management and associates.
- Collect customer/market feedback on the Sterilox system and other technologies through interaction with store personnel and report results.
- Manage system performance and track results during customer trials.
Key Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Alternatively, comparable work experience will be considered.
- 4+ years experience in customer-facing field service role or technical account management. Ideal candidate will have experience dealing with commercial food/kitchen equipment or HVAC or water/fluid based systems or other forms of capital equipment. Experience in other industries with similar technical skills will be considered.
- Familiarity with plumbing, electrical and mechanical functions strongly preferred. Generally good mechanical aptitude.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including persuasive communication skills and strong presentation skills.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office software and Blackberry.
- Strong customer-service orientation and level-headed approach to dealing directly with customers and resolving conflicts, managing issues and overcoming objections.
- Strong organization skills including attention to detail and timely reporting of information.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including multiple overnights to customer sites.
