PRODUCT MANAGER – STERILOX FOOD SAFETY
We are expanding our marketing organization to support the growth and diversification of our customers and food safety applications. In this newly created Product Manager – Sterilox Food Safety role, reporting to the Director – Marketing, the individual will be responsible for developing and executing the product strategy, creating communication strategy and sales support materials, in addition to managing a variety of marketing programs. Working closely with the senior management team, the Product Manager will have a high level of visibility and significant ability to impact the business. This role offers a wide array of duties, the opportunity to be creative, the opportunity to launch new products and programs into new markets and the chance to work with a new technology that offers solutions to industry issues.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive Marketing Communication plan for products and integrate various vehicles such as; trade shows, publications, internet presence, advertising, PR, etc.
- Conduct market research and interpret research reports on products, market segments, competition and technologies and translate into marketing plan components.
- Develop financial models to support sales efforts.
- Assist in development and execution of in-use and lab studies to support marketing claims.
- Assist in sales calls or closing sales.
- Develop and provide product and market training for sales force.
- Provide periodic reviews of product positioning, value to the customer, competitive situation and market trends, and manage response to customer complaints with cross-functional teams.
Key Qualifications:
- B.S business (marketing, management, finance or related).
- Previous experience (4+ years) in Marketing, Market Research, and/or Sales, including creation of sales force tools and training.
- Knowledge of food retail industry, including: food retail and/or food service, manufacturing processes, and distribution logistics.
- Strong analytical skills, including: strategy development, financial analysis and modeling, recommendations and action planning.
- Proven experience using print and electronic media to deliver product marketing, sales and technical messages.
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong bias for action. Ability to effectively and efficiently prioritize multiple projects and resources based on an awareness of business goals and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with several levels of internal team members and external contacts/agencies, both in writing and verbally. Ability to adapt style and approach to suit different audiences.
